Beverly Petercheff Smith, President of BKS Communications has over twenty years of marketing, advertising, event planning and public relation experience. Beverly has worked with major local, regional and national companies. From private owners to not-for-profit and government, Beverly has a long standing and loyal reputation for the clients she represents.

Ms. Smith is a 1981 graduate of Ball State University. With a bachelor of science degree in public relations and journalism, Smith has worked with clients such as: Target Stores; adidas America, The Kroger Company; Fantastic Sams Family Hair Salons; American Insurance Network; Simon Property Group; Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Delta Faucet; The Westin Hotel/Starwood Hotels; Indiana Children's Wish Fund; Glendale Mall/Kite Corporation and several local and national advertising agencies.

From planning elaborate special events to working closely with the Indianapolis Mayor's office, Smith has a high energy level, is enthusiastic about her accounts and has an enormous amount of credibility within the public relations industry.

Smith has been the public relations director for Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, The Indianapolis Zoo and Duke Associates. She has also volunteered her time and held office for organizations such as: IABC (International American Business Communicators); Advertising Club of Indianapolis; Indianapolis Zoo Guild; The Balkan Society Festival; Indianapolis Downtown Inc.; Indianapolis Public Schools' Big Apple Ball; St. Stephen's Orthodox Church; The International Wine Festival and Tri Delta Alumni Sorority.

Beverly has been married to Kevin Smith since June of 1988. They have one daughter, Stephanie who was born in December of 1994. The Smith's enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, music and their German Shepherd Samson and cat Chelsea!
